Background:
For more then 100 Years fossil-fuels have driven the economy. Although in the beginning Electric Cars were as common as Combustion Cars, the energy density of the Gasoline used made longer trips possible.
The energy density of Gasoline is a factor 100 higher (Wh/Kg) then a modern Li-ion battery based solution and a factor of 12 higher (Wh/L) in Volume. Which means less space and less weight for the same distance travelled.
The worldwide Fossil Fuel infrastructure is efficient and solid with over 100 Years of experience. It is a pitty not to use this potential and benefits, although we are all aware of the fact that we need to stop burning Fossil Fuels on short term.
The good news is that we already have a Net-zero (Co2) solution, for over 80 years.
It is called Solar Fuel, E-Fuel or Synthetic Fuel. In short Power-to-Gas and Gas-to-Liquid, both technologies are avalaible on a Global scale.
It is still more costly compared to pump the Oil out of the Ground, but with enough economies of scale and support of Industry and Governments, it should be possible to make this technology a simple, efficient, cost effective solution for the next 100 years.
Our aim is to assist in this very important transformation from Fossil Fuels to Solar Fuels by participating in both Industrial and Scientific projects to realize this goal.
